Contrasting altitudinal patterns and co-occurrence networks of soil bacterial and fungal communities along soil depths in the cold-temperate montane forests of China

چکیده

Soil bacterial and fungal communities with different key ecological functions play important roles in boreal forest ecosystems. Although several studies have reported on the altitudinal distribution patterns of microbes, our understanding characteristics microbial community core composition microbiome cold-temperate montane forests is still limited. In this study, Illumina MiSeq sequencing was used to investigate changes soil surface subsurface soils along an gradient (from 830 m 1300 m) Oakley Mountain. The diversity showed a monotonic decrease increase altitude, respectively. influence altitude stronger than that depth. variations pH dissolved organic nitrogen content at altitudes were main factors influencing structures, There no obvious difference between network structures communities, while more complex intricate community. nodes mainly belonging Proteobacteria Actinobacteria taxa two layers. drivers structure are consistent for whole sub-nerwork subnetwork analysis revealed other (i.e. temperature nitrate nitrogen) do not capture by analysis. Thus, comprehensive picture shaping can be achieved combining analyses. Our results demonstrated had depth divergent

Contrasting Diversity Patterns of Crenarchaeal, Bacterial and Fungal Soil Communities in an Alpine Landscape

BACKGROUND The advent of molecular techniques in microbial ecology has aroused interest in gaining an understanding about the spatial distribution of regional pools of soil microbes and the main drivers responsible of these spatial patterns. Here, we assessed the distribution of crenarcheal, bacterial and fungal communities in an alpine landscape displaying high turnover in plant species over s...

Soil Microbial Communities in Natural and Managed Cloud Montane Forests

Forest management often results in changes in soil microbial communities. To understand how forest management can change microbial communities, we studied soil microbial abundance and community structure in a natural Chamaecyparis (NCP) forest, a disturbed Chamaecyparis (DCP) forest, a secondary (regenerated) Chamaecyparis (SCP) forest and a secondary (reforested) Cryptomeria (SCD) forest. We a...

Divergent habitat filtering of root and soil fungal communities in temperate beech forests

Distance decay, the general reduction in similarity of community composition with increasing geographical distance, is known as predictor of spatial variation and distribution patterns of organisms. However, changes in fungal communities along environmental gradients are little known. Here we show that distance decays of soil-inhabiting and root-associated fungal assemblages differ, and identif...

Spatial Co-Occurrence and Activity Patterns of Mesocarnivores in the Temperate Forests of Southwest China

Understanding the interactions between species and their coexistence mechanisms will help explain biodiversity maintenance and enable managers to make sound conservation decisions. Mesocarnivores are abundant and diverse mid-sized carnivores and can have profound impacts on the function, structure and dynamics of ecosystem after the extirpation of apex predators in many ecosystems. The moist te...

the analysis of the role of the speech acts theory in translating and dubbing hollywood films
